About the Founder
Amanda Dakouré is an international business lawyer, strategic advisor, and angel investor with a passion for driving growth and impact across Africa and beyond. A solicitor of England and Wales and a member of the Law Society of Ontario (Canada), Amanda brings over fifteen years of diverse experience in the public and private sectors, supporting businesses and institutions to scale sustainably and navigate complex legal landscapes.
Previously, Amanda served as Senior Legal Counsel at Paystack, a digital payments company owned by Stripe, where she played a key role in the company’s pan-African expansion. She led regulatory efforts that helped facilitate financial inclusion and strengthen Africa’s financial infrastructure. Before that, she was based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire as Senior Legal Counsel at the African Development Bank, advising the institution’s statutory bodies on a wide range of legal and governance matters.
Amanda began her legal career in international arbitration, working as an Associate at White & Case LLP in Paris, where she provided legal advice in high-stakes international commercial and investment disputes.
Academically, Amanda holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the London School of Economics (LSE), as well as an LL.B. and a B.Soc.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ottawa, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ottawa Law Review. Having lived and worked in six countries, Amanda brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of cross-border business and legal dynamics. Amanda works fluently in English and French, supporting clients across Anglophone and Francophone markets.
Through Wuli Group, Amanda partners with businesses and startups to offer strategic advisory, legal consulting, and investment support, specializing in guiding startups through the complexities of launching and scaling in diverse markets.
